Getting Crafty

Hello and welcome new followers ...

Where has this year gone?  Am I the only one who feels this year has flown past in a haze?
It's nearly that time of year again...and now that Halloween is over...

It's time to start thinking about gifts....

Christmas Gifts!

Homemade and handmade gifts are just so special.  Whether it's a jar of homemade jam filled with homegrown raspberries lovingly picked from a friend's garden, or a hand sewn tea cosy, the thought and effort behind the gift always warms my heart.

I recently came across this fabric in a well known Swedish store I thought these would make ideal cushion covers for a special someone who hinted she needed to add some colour into her lounge which is predominantly neutral tones with very little colour.  She loves walking in the countryside and I thought this fabric perfect for her.

I've sewn the back envelope style, so you can just tuck the cushion in.

Another two in a different fabric

Pressed and ready for sending overseas to warmer climes!

I love it when a plan comes together!

Is it too early to be thinking of Christmas and
are you making any gifts this year?
Shall we share ideas?

Have a lovely week!

  1. Your pillows are gorgeous and I love the fabrics! It's impossible to find great fabrics here in Canada and they're over $20 a meter. But, I am headed to the USA later this week, I am going to look for fabrics that will work in my living room.
I have already made one gift, the quilt for my daughter and I've purchased one gift for another daughter. That's it. You are way ahead of the game girl.
