Singing the blues

Hi everyone and thanks for popping by.

I predicted earlier this year that turquoise would be a BIG colour this year, it's being featured in fabrics, decor items and even furniture. But colours like fashion trends, come and go, so investing in smaller less expensive items are the way to go if you just want to perk up a room with a few new items.

The easiest way to change any interior is to bring in a new colour and you can do this by adding cushions, decor items, a feature wall, covering a chair with a new fabric and if you really want to splash out, a new sofa!

So this post is all about bringing turquoise into the home in fabrics, furnishings, vases and bookends etc

  2. Hi Sharon,
Yes, I agree, the splash of turquoise definitely adds something to the room settings.
I love the turquoise stools in the black and white kitchen in image 8. And also the clever use of chairs as shelves in image 4.
Sometimes it's good to add a bit of colour to our lives.
Hope you have a lovely weekend,
    Liz x

  5. You always chose such wonderful photos! This is a very inspiring colour and much more practical than people might first think. I love it for summer, especially in bathrooms, but it also works well in Autumn giving all a zing, and for Winter it looks so magical with whites, silvers and golds. x
