New Trends...

Hi everyone, and a big WELCOME to my new followers....another week gone...can you believe it?

The sun is shining, it's still chilly in the mornings, but spring is definitely in the air, and with that in mind, I'm sharing the season's new design trends with you this week...

I think Sarah MacGregor, Design Director of Colefax and Fowler and Jane Churchill has captured the essence of how we all feel in these turbulent times we live in...

'In a world of uncertainty we are seeing an escape from everyday life, which heralds a return to nature with new fabrics featuring botanicals, flowers, animals and birds'

One of the colours I think will feature prominently this year has to be Turquoise....

April's edition of Homes and Gardens features a lot of Turquoise - from fabric to accessories.

A rural retreat in upstate New York

Turquoise crockery

Vintage glassware

And then we have Stephen Woodham's apartment in London also featuring more subtle shades of Turquoise

An apartment in Kensington...spot the turquoise

Villa Nova fabric with hints of turquoise

Fabric trends

Madame Butterfly in Peony from Designer's Guild

Turquoise cushions

Cushions, pouffes and Turquoise bed linen all from Graham and Green

Wishing you all a wonderful sunny week ahead...
